Dr. Vanessa Miller is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist who works in collaboration with women in all life phases to prevent, diagnose and treat conditions keeping them from enjoying a healthy, full life. Having practiced medicine for almost 20 years, she has come to believe that the best outcomes can be attained when patients and their physicians work as a team to set and achieve their health goals.
Dr. Miller is passionate about helping women experience optimized health, wellness and graceful aging through adherence to basic principles of lifestyle modification. These include excellent nutrition, physical activity in nature and stress management through gratitude, generosity and grace. She acknowledges the number-one killer of women is heart disease and aims to motivate her patients to buck the trend by drastically reducing their cardiovascular risk.
Dr. Miller has impacted the lives of women of the world through medical mission trips to Mexico, Guam, Palau, Indonesia and Kenya. After hurricane Dorian devastated two islands in the Bahamas, Dr. Miller immediately flew home to the Bahamas to volunteer her services to those impacted. She is a committed sponsor of Christian education for school-age children living in refugee camps in Rwanda, as well as for orphans in Kenya.
A Board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist, she earned an MD Degree from Loma Linda University in southern California in 1996. She completed residency training at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 2000, where she won a top prize for her senior-resident research and presentation. Dr. Miller will offer a wide scope of general OB/GYN care from contraception, to prenatal care, well-woman care and pap screening, surgical interventions, and everything in between.
Prior to embarking on a medical career, Dr. Miller completed a Master’s in Information Science at Andrews University and worked for six years in the computer industry with IBM. This has given her an appreciation for the potential of technology to impact health, and she is intrigued by the promise of artificial intelligence. Her days volunteering at Yale-New Haven Hospital while completing pre-medicine prerequisites taught her that every conquered fear becomes a stepping stone to achieving impossible dreams. She is ever-ready to encourage anyone to pursue scary goals, because they will have fewer regrets when they’ve come to the end of the road.

“Dr. Miller has traveled the world and now our little town of Columbus is lucky to have her as its newest OB/GYN! She’s very easy to talk to and listens as if you were her only patient in the world. She left me feeling confident in my care at physicians and surgeons. And I would be remiss if I did not mention how wonderful it is to have another female gynecologist in town!” – Cathryn V.
