Overview:

Responsible for providing professional care in women’s health to patients under the supervision of a Provider. Will prioritize and respond to incoming patient concerns, confer with physicians, follow through on physician orders and relay information to patients.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Review patient charts prior to appointment to confirm appointments are appropriately scheduled.
  2. Collecting patient’s medical history and prescription lists upon arrival.
  3. Measure vital signs, like temperature, blood pressure, and weight of each patient prior to exam.
  4. Preparing the patient for their examination by providing general understanding to any concerns they have regarding their appointment.
  5. Take accurate, detailed notes from the patient to ensure proper charting is completed.
  6. Relay critical information provided by patient to the Provider so items can be addressed appropriately.
  7. Assist during patient’s examination as needed.
  8. Collect and prepare lab specimens for testing.

Knowledge:

  1. Knowledge and interest in women’s health. Experience in OB/Gyn highly preferred!
  2. Clinical processes and principles for compliance.
  3. Regulations related to health care as provided in the clinic’s policies and procedures.
  4. Heavy emphasis on medical terminology
  5. Coursework and/or hands-on experience relating to clerical, clinical, and laboratory duties.

Skills/Abilities:

  1. Computer proficiency
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  3. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: LPN required
  • Experience: Previous clinical experience preferred

Overview:

The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all administrative tasks for the office as well as scheduling of clinical support staff. They manage patient volume through scheduling of staff, handle timesheets, and ensure that everything runs smoothly within the organization’s standards.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Supervise various positions within the clinic staff.
  • Aid in the development of office policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the location.
  • Provide training resources to drive performance improvements for admin support staff.
  • Work with vendors/reps to establish new or continued business with the practice.
  • Collaborates with Providers, Nursing staff, and Executives on business needs.
  • Ensures customer service standards are met.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Clinical processes and principles for compliance.
  • Regulations related to health care as provided in the clinic’s policies and procedures.
  • General understanding of medical terms, financial risks, staffing needs, and workflows.
  • Experience delegating and supervising tasks for office staff.

  • Communicates effectively and has strong verbal and written communication skills.

Credentials/Education and Experience:

1. A degree in healthcare management, business, or a related field is preferred.

2. 2 years of medical office leadership experience.
